Casey Abrams & Haley Reinhart: Idol’s Hot Hookup
It was the most dramatic episode of American Idol ever on March 24, as Casey Abrams, facing elimination after getting the fewest viewer votes, sang for his life. The 20-year-old looked like he was about to have a heart attack, dropping to his knees in bewildered disbelief when judges Randy Jackson, Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez reversed his fortune and told him he was safe. Looking as relieved as Casey’s parents was his tearful fellow contestant Haley Reinhart — and for good reason.
An Idol insider tells In Touch that Haley, 20, and Casey have become quite the cozy couple. Though he once serenaded a female friend in the audience, he’s really into Haley. “Most of their downtime is spent together and they have a very touchy-feely relationship,” says the insider. “They’re always lying on each other when they’re around the other contestants and everybody thinks they’re hooking up.”
Now the question is: Will their puppy love survive the competition?
