Gavin Rossdale's ex-lover reacts to his confession

Gavin2_1013.jpg In the wake of rocker Gavin Rossdale’s reveal that he had a romance with gender-bending singer Marilyn as a teen, the ’80s pop icon is sharing his reaction to his former lover’s long overdue confession with In Touch. "I am pleased that Gavin is finally able to be honest about our relationship. I just wish he could have come to terms with this 15 years ago,” he says. However, Marilyn is still upset that Gavin vehemently denied the story when he first dished about their affair to In Touch in April 2009. “I find it sad that when I spoke out about what we had, I was labeled a tattletale — and now, Gavin is using it to promote himself,” he adds about the father of two, who recently announced that he is reuniting with his popular ’90s band, Bush. Marilyn hopes that now that the truth is in the open, Gavin’s wife, Gwen Stefani, will accept her husband’s past. “Maybe one day Gwen will allow my name to be spoken again in her home without it having any negative connotations,” he says.
