Snooki goes on a diet!

She got flack even from her Jersey Shore friends for her curvy figure, but now Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi is battling her body demons once and for all. The petite MTV reality star has turned to Dr. Siegal’s Cookie Diet to drop a few pounds and look smokin’ this summer. “I tried all the diet pills, and nothing works. I love cookies, and I thought Dr. Siegal looks pretty hot on the box, so I wanted to try it out," Snooki tells In Touch, reporting that she has already lost 5 pounds and hopes to lose 10 more. Dr. Siegal says the diet, which includes six cookies a day plus a well-rounded dinner, can work for everyone. “There are no failures!” he tells In Touch. The only problem? Snooki, who was frequently spotted in Miami downing margaritas with beer bottles in them, has to give up drinking for the plan. "With my busy work schedule, I shouldn't be drinking" anyway, notes Snooki, who will still find time for romance. She recently split from boyfriend Emilio Masella. “I am just playing the field. I am still young, and just waiting for the right guy. I am going to go on dates and have a good time,” she says, adding that she’s looking for a “dork” with “guido potential.” The normally wild 22-year-old stayed true to her diet while dining with friends at Prime KO in New York on June 16, avoiding alcohol and noshing on healthy menu options like the Chilean Sea Bass Skewers. Watch Snooki and the gang take Miami — and later, return to the Jersey Shore — on the hit show’s second season, airing in late July.
