Survivor's Amanda: "I've never been in a catfight!"

Survivor0430.jpg This season of Survivor will go down as the one with a seemingly endless supply of immunityidols, and when Danielle found a clue to one, Amanda Kimmel got into a catfight to steal it — but eventually gave up. "It was a little crazy. I didn't really know what I was doing; I just knew we had to have it to get further in the game. My team was counting on me," she tells In Touch, adding that she assumed teammate Colby would back her up. He didn't, even as Danielle attacked her. "She was cussing up a storm. I was like, 'Wow, you are crazy right now! Do you really want to get into it with me?' Because I really feel like I can take her. I was like, 'I've never been in a catfight before, but let's do this!' I should have ran and locked myself in the bathroom and flushed it down the toilet, but I was shell-shocked." But by returning the clue to Danielle, Amanda was left with no protection. Post-merge, the remaining Heroes were struggling to keep all of their members loyal, even though the Villains' Sandra was willing to defect. In the end, the Villains won over Candice and at Tribal Council, Amanda had her torch snuffed out for the first time in her three seasons of being on the show.

Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains
Eliminated April 30: Amanda Kimmel

Who were you most disappointed in at Tribal Council?
I was more disappointed in myself than anybody, to be honest. I made a lot of mistakes I shouldn't have made and it kind of led to my demise. It would have worked, obviously, if Candice were on our side, but there were things that happened that led to her wanting to switch obviously.

It was surprising that Colby didn't want to get involved in the fight for the Immunity Idol clue.
There's only so much you can do. Every single time I've played the game, I've had a partner. It was supposed to be James, but he got voted out and then it was J.T., because at least he was strategic, and then he was gone. And I was left with Rupert, who doesn't really play the game strategically, Colby, who didn't really want to play the game at all, and Candice, who was with you one minute, not with you the next. There was no one for me to play with at that point. Parvati and I really should have worked something out, but we didn't trust each other.

Were you looking forward to reuniting with Parvati at the merge?
Yes, actually. I really wanted her to be in the game the whole time, and James and Cirie. I was like, "We could do this again!" It would have been amazing. So I was kind of disappointed. Parvati was in a good position and I was in a good position. She didn't want to come to my side; I didn't really want to go to hers. I didn't trust Russell or Danielle.

Were you able to keep Parvati's decision separate from your friendship?
You have to. She was playing her game, I was playing mine. I keep in contact with James, Courtney, Todd and Cirie. I have my select Survivor bunch that I keep in contact with as friends. Most of them are crazy.

How was this experience different from last time?
It was way more strategic this time and it kept you on your toes because there were Idols everywhere. They were just giving them away — anyone could find them at any point in time. You couldn't control them. You could make a strategy but it would totally be for naught because someone could have an Idol.

How about physically?
I don't think the physical part came in as much this time. It is what it is. I've played it so many times before. You expect it. Food wasn't as big a deal afterwards this time as before. I think I had a Snickers.

Who are you rooting for?
My team. I'm a pretty loyal girl, so I want them to win, still.

Would you do it again?
No! I'm retiring my Survivor career. I have bigger aspirations. Let a good thing lie. I am done.
