Thankfully, the pop star daughter of Billy Joel is going to be fine. Alexa Ray Joel, 23, took a handful of a homeopathic drug (which is apparently harmless) on December 5, then called 911 on her own. Although the episode was treated as a suicide attempt by the 911 dispatcher and EMS workers in New York, the drug she took, called Traumeel, contains minute doses of only herbs and minerals, including St. John's wort and echinacea. Sources had said that Alexa Ray, whose mom is supermodel Christie Brinkley, was depressed over a recent breakup. According to a statement from her publicist, "She is feeling much better. She is with her family and looking forward to getting back on track."
