Mark and Michael can hang up their dancing shoes

Another Dancing With the Stars double-elimination shocker last night saw Aaron Carter again fighting for survival. This time, he participated in a "dance-off" with Mark Dacascos. Having received the highest score on Monday's performance show, Aaron, who earned two 10s, managed to turn out an impressive jive and emerged victorious. For Mark, it was a tough week. His partner, Lacey Schwimmer, fell victim to the flu sweeping the cast, and though last-minute substitute Anna Trebunskaya did her best to get Mark through, their samba failed to impress. "Anna, Lacey and myself gave it 100 percent," Mark told In Touch after the show. Football legend Michael Irvin, alongside partner Anna Demidova, were the other couple eliminated after the viewer votes were counted. "I feel like a winner," revealed Michael, adding, "From where we started in week one to making it to week seven! That is the Super Bowl for me."

We are so sorry to see you leaving.
Michael: I feel great, though you do get emotional because everybody else is. I feel like a winner, and I am happy. Happy I overcame one for my greatest fears, which was dancing in front of people. The other fear is singing, but don't expect me to be on American Idol, either. I overcame one, and that is enough.
Anna D.: He might do karaoke for you.
Michael: No — but this was a wonderful experience.

What are you going to miss most about the whole show?
Michael: These guys. Just being around everybody and having a good time. When I retired from football, that question got asked, and it wasn't plays or anything like that, it was the locker room. I'll miss the red room here, as that's the locker room for us.
Anna D.: I'm going to miss him. He's so nice to be around. If I get to the next season, I have no idea who I will get. Some people don't get along, but we just got along so well.
Michael: No matter what it is, you always remember your first. It was her first season. I was her first partner. And when she's 80 years old, she'll be in a rocker thinking about me because I was her first! I will remember that forever and am thankful.

What did you learn about yourself?
Michael: I learned I couldn't dance...
Anna D.: And now he can dance.
Michael: And now I can dance. I learned a great deal of respect for the art of dancing. My old man told me I could do anything, and while I was afraid to do this, I thought, "Let's just do it."

Do you think you will continue to dance?
Michael: I am going to continue to take lessons. I enjoy it so much. I told Anna when we first started that it was cool, and I wanted to continue, so I will.

What's next for you?
Michael: I'm pretty busy with the radio and TV show that I do, and I am going to let Anna get some sleep, at least for a week. She's exhausted after keeping up with this schedule and running behind me

So no time off?
Michael: I won't have a day off until March. Then it's vacation time. Right now, I miss my boys and am looking forward to being home. I have two girls and two boys who can dance. They got that from their mother.

How about you, Mark. Are you bummed about the elimination?
Mark: I'm actually feeling good not because we were asked to leave, but because Lacey and I gave it our all. I'd feel terrible if we had been eliminated and had made mistakes.

Did you feel like you were at a disadvantage this week because Lacey was out sick?
Mark: Absolutely. But I think what Anna did with me in two days was amazing. But we didn't even get the chance to build a connection. The bottom line is Anna, Lacey and myself gave it 100 percent!

What will you miss about dancing with Lacey?
Mark: Her heart. She acts tough, but whatever. I see this sweet, kind, innocent heart and I hope she will retain that.
