In the wake of Kandi Burruss’ heartbreak, close friend and Real Housewives of Atlanta co-star Kim Zolciak is supporting the singer in her time of need. "This is a tragedy and an incredibly difficult time in her life. I, as her friend, will stand by her side,” Kim tells In Touch about her grieving pal. Kandi’s former fiancé, Ashley “A.J.” Jewell, died on October 2 after succumbing to a beating outside an Atlanta strip club. “I considered A.J. my friend, and he was an incredible man who will be missed by many. Please pray for Kandi, Kandi's family, A.J.’s children and A.J.'s family. Rest in peace,” added a solemn Kim. Frederick Richardson has been arrested for voluntary manslaughter in relation to the case.
