Christie Brinkley and Peter Cook call a cease-fire

Christie Brinkley and her ex-husband Peter Cook have finally reached an agreement to end their drawn-out court battle over their children. The former supermodel filed for divorce in 2006 because Peter admitted to having an affair with a teenage employee in 2004. After a bitter battle over the details, the couple finalized their divorce in October 2008. Yet they were back in court earlier this month because each party claimed the other was breaking specific terms of the settlement. But according to Christie's attorneys, both sides have managed to reach an agreement. "Since Mr. Cook lost the custody battle in the divorce trial, he has staged a relentless smear campaign against Ms. Brinkley," reads the statement. "Ms. Brinkley is completely vindicated. The parties' settlement approved by the judge today does not grant any of the requests in Peter Cook's vindictive requests including, among others, his request for Ms. Brinkley to undergo anger management or for the appointment of a parenting coordinator."
