Katherine adopts a Korean baby

KatherineHeigl0910.jpg Katherine Heigl is the latest celebrity to adopt a child from another country. The Grey’s Anatomy star announced on The Ellen DeGeneres Show — airing Friday — that she and her husband, musician Josh Kelley, are adopting a girl from Korea. “She’ll be 10 months at the end of this month,” she said. “Her name is Naleigh,” after Katherine's mother, Nancy, and sister, Leigh. Katherine calls it “serendipitous” because the baby girl was born one day before her own birthday in November. The new mom-to-be will follow in her sister Meg's footsteps, since she was also adopted from Korea. The actress “always planned” on adoption after getting married in December 2007, and the process has been in the works for about six months. “I wanted to tell everybody so you don’t think I stole a Korean baby,” she said.
