Loved ones remember Farrah with a “beautiful” service
Five days after her tragic death, friends and family honored the late Farrah Fawcett with a heartfelt Catholic service in LA. “It was absolutely beautiful,” Farrah’s cousin Lisa Fawcett told In Touch after the hour-long memorial ceremony at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels on June 30. The iconic actress’s longtime love, Ryan O’Neal, and their son, Redmond, were joined by Farrah’s close friend Alana Stewart, her Charlie's Angels co-stars Kate Jackson and Jaclyn Smith, fellow Hollywood pals such as Joan Collins and Cheryl Tiegs, and other loved ones. “It was perfect. It was good to see my Uncle Redmond,” Ryan’s granddaughter Dillan O’Neal told In Touch of Farrah’s troubled son, who was temporarily released from jail rehab to attend the funeral. “I do think she would’ve loved the service. She would have just loved the simplicity of it all,” the blond beauty’s college roommate, Karen Spellings, also told In Touch. After gospel readings and an emotional eulogy by Alana, mourners left the church to celebrate the star’s life with a reception at the nearby Jonathan Club. Farrah, 62, passed away on June 25 after a long battle with cancer.
