Ashanti's mom: "I'm not ready" for my daughter's engagement

Though Ashanti and her boyfriend, Nelly, have been dating for more than five years, the sexy songstress's mother/manager isn't keen on the couple walking down the aisle anytime soon. "I'm not ready for that!" Tina Douglas told In Touch when asked about her daughter's potential "I do's" at the In Touch, House of Hype and Island Def Jam Grammy after-party on February 8 in Beverly Hills.

Luckily for mom, Ashanti admitted that she herself wasn't ready for an engagement to her "Body on Me" duet partner. "Not yet," the R&B superstar replied to In Touch when asked if she was expecting a Valentine's Day diamond ring.
