A doctor’s post may be opening at Seattle Grace. According to sources, T.R. Knight has requested a release from his Grey’s Anatomy contract, and it looks like his bosses are ready to grant the request. “They’re working out the details now,” an ABC insider tells Entertainment Weekly. Things apparently haven’t been cool on set since Isaiah Washington called T.R. by a homophobic slur and the higher-ups did not immediately respond to the incident. But an insider says the main reason the actor wants to leave is because there isn’t much for his character to do this season: “He just feels it’s time to move on.”
