Though nothing’s been confirmed by the White House, Peruvian paper El Comercio is declaring that hip-shaking songstress Shakira will be performing for President-elect Barack Obama’s January 20th inauguration in Washington, D.C. Shakira has long supported Barack, even though she’s not able to vote in the U.S. Her public endorsement stated, “I feel in my heart that he would be able to reconstruct peace and confidence in the United States.” The admiration was returned with Obama saying, “I am honored to receive the endorsement of such a talented and generous individual." A belly-dancing Shakira for the inauguration? Here’s hoping those hips don’t lie!
