File this under the weird but true category. Jessica Simpson recently revealed her desire to study theology in college to Marie Claire magazine. But instead of citing her preacher-turned-manager dad, Joe, as her inspiration, Jess talks about the influence of a TV show. “I’ve been contemplating taking a college course in religion,” she tells the magazine. “I love religion. I remember whenever the book The Da Vinci Code came out, the Discovery Channel did this three-night piece on it that I TiVoed and then watched eight times.” They do say inspiration can come from the strangest places.
