Cody Linley plays Miley Cyrus’ sometime boyfriend Jake on Hannah Montana — and it looked like they were taking their love offscreen when Miley left Cody’s home at 10 p.m. on September 2. But Cody denies romance rumors. “No, we have a very, very close friendship,” the actor told In Touch while promoting the Clearly Spirited Heroes Challenge for acneheroes.com. So what were they doing? Painting! “I needed some art on my walls,” he says. “I picked Miley up and she’s wearing skinny jeans! I said, ‘You know we’re painting, right?’” Cody, 18, who drove Miley, 15, home on September 2, says, “We’re there for each other and we talk all the time.”
