In Touch throws the hottest party of the year

The place to be following the 2008 MTV Video Music Awards was the Chateau Marmont for In Touch’s Icons + Idols post-VMA party. “It was definitely the hottest party of the night!” said Paris Hilton who wouldn’t miss the bash — partly because her boyfriend Benji Madden’s band Good Charlotte was headlining the event. Other A-listers — including Demi Moore, Ryan Phillippe, Lindsay Lohan and Christina Aguilera — enjoyed drinks from Flor de Caña and rocked out to sets from DJ Samantha Ronson, The Veronicas and Leona Lewis. Even Olympic gold medalist Michael Phelps came to party and — not surprisingly — “was surrounded by women,” says an eyewitness, including Mischa Barton who hung out with him in the VIP bungalow. At the end of the evening guests left with party bags filled with gifts from Burger King, Bed Head, Hint water and Dove chocolates.
