How to wear the hottest headband

From Ashlee Simpson to Paris Hilton, stars are sporting this season’s hottest hair accessory: headbands. But let’s face it, not every celeb is rocking the look right, so here are our In Touch Tips to keep you on track.

Fit: The boho-chic look is back, but if you’re going to wear a band across your forehead make sure it’s not too tight. If it is, you’ll be extremely uncomfortable and run the risk of looking like a mushroom, which is never stylish.

Placement: As Paris Hilton shows, wearing a headband behind your ears and about an inch behind your hairline looks sweet and elegant. If it’s too far forward, it will shrink your face and if it’s too far back, your forehead will look huge.

Tame the mane: Even though a headband is a lifesaver when you’re suffering from a bad hair day, you should still make sure your overall look is presentable and polished. So just slide on a scarf or band and then pull the rest of your hair in a simple bun or ponytail if the rest of your hair is too unruly.

If you’re ready to try this latest fashion fad, we highly recommend headbands by Lavender Girl.
