Hilary Duff's dad sentenced to jail

Just a few weeks before Hilary Duff's 21st birthday, her dad, Bob Duff, has been sentenced to 10 days in jail. He and Hilary's mom, Susan Duff, have been in a divorce battle for two-and-a-half years and Bob violated a court order by selling off assets without Susan's permission. According to the Houston Chronicle, the $367,537 he made from selling stocks now goes into a court repository while the divorce is hashed out. Susan also went to court to request $25,000 from Bob to celebrate Hilary's birthday on September 28 and stated that the $10,000 monthly support payments she gets are "not enough to pay my own bills." Susan admitted that she's been receiving financial aid from her daughter and said that Hilary was "emotionally upset by the abandonment of her father." She added, "I know he's a millionaire and he's got the funds." Bob was ordered to pay $12,500 for Hilary's party.
