Judge blocks release of Anna Nicole tape
A 1994 videotape that documents a breast-augmentation surgery for Anna Nicole Smith won’t be released anytime soon. At the request of her former attorney, partner and executor of her will, Howard K. Stern, a Superior Court judge has issued an injunction that stops the sale and distribution of the videotape. Howard accuses Anna’s surgeon, Dr. Gerald Wayne Johnson, of videotaping the surgery without Anna’s consent, which is illegal. The doctor had sent the tape to an LA-based memorabilia dealer with plans to split the proceeds. But with this court order, the videotape and any copies are ordered to be returned to Howard.
